CHD awareness week 7-14th feb 2009
Well folks we are getting to almost the end of the year 2008, and i would like to take this opportunity to remind our visitors of raising as much awareness in the week of feb 7-14th as you possibly can i am currently working on a fundraiser for ECHO and BHF ready for this particular week and im sooo excited!!
But in the meantime i have created the websites awareness badge to be worn on every single facebook, myspace, bebo, and any other profile pictures that can wear this badge! so just right click then save as to your PC's and wear your ribbons with pride in 2009 heart awareness week :-)
Valentine's Day seems like the perfect time to think about hearts. Raising awareness about congenital (present at birth) heart defects. More babies are born with congenital heart defects – approximately 40,000 – than with spina bifida, Down syndrome and hearing loss. Yet, heart defects are sometimes overlooked and not routinely diagnosed in newborns." Many rare disorders present at birth also include heart defects (such as CHARGE syndrome), and sometimes the presence of a heart defect may be key to the diagnosis of a rare disorder. Make valentines day not just about love hearts but about real broken hearts babies are being born with more and more every year!

WE WILL BE MEETING IN THE MARKET SQUARE OUTSIDE THE LIBRARY,THEN MAKING OUR WAY UP TO THE TOP OF THE HIGH STREET THEN MAKING OUR WAY TO THE QEENSWAY PUB TO STOP FOR REFRESHMENTS,THEN FINALLY ON OUR WAY INTO ASHBY TO FINISH MAKING COLLECTIONS ON BROADWAY,WE MAY MAKE OUR WAY BACK TO PRIORY FOR FINAL REFRESHMENTS BEFORE THE MARCH IS DONE AT AROUND 5-6PM
IF THE WEATHER IS HOT PLEASE PLEASE BRING WATER BOTTLES AND DRESS SENSIBLY LOL
WE WILL BE PROVIDING COLLECTION TINS AND T-SHIRTS, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DRESS UP IN FANCY DRESS TO MAKE IT MORE FUN PLEASE DO.
